This groovy music was something to keep your body moving on the dance floor. It also contains melody and harmony, with an electric bass being the main ingredient in making this type of music. In this music instruments like the electric guitar, electric bass, Hammond organ, drums, and occasionally horns were used such as saxophones, trumpets, and trombone. Funk inspired other music like disco, go-go, funk rock, electro music, funk metal, g-funk, and funk jam which are sub-genres of funk. James Brown was known to be the father and creator of funk.

She fought for the little man and worked harder than any other Politian in her time being that she was a black woman. She had many obstacles in her career, but she still became successful. Education was her main priority and thought that education was an important topic. She became the first major-party black candidate for president of the U.S of course she failed, but it still was a historic event.
